SOUTH DEVON

We (myself, my wife and our son) stayed at the Nest Barn. The accommodation is set in a barn away from the owners own property, impeccably kept gardens & parking. The accommodation is beautifully appointed and furnished to a high standard; the owners have been really considered in providing all the amenities that could be needed on a family break. The huge bonus was the 'hot-tub', which was an absolute delight in the evening. Lucia is an outstanding host, where nothing really is too much trouble; an amazing holiday.

The welcome and hospitality of the hosts was amazing and the ability to utilise all of the grounds was most appreciated, not least by baby Scarlett! The added bonus of a babysitter on tap allowing a Friday night out was very much appreciated.... A delightful spot in the beautiful countryside with excellent ice cream to boot. No doubt a return will be on the cards.

Truly exceptional. Everything was just simply perfect. So much thought has gone into every detail creating a stunning space with luxurious furnishings, all ethically resourced. Your every comfort has been considered and catered for. We felt totally relaxed from the moment we arrived. The property was exceptionally clean & the facilities are of the highest quality, the bed was sublime! The area is stunning and we enjoyed many walks with spectacular views! We will definitely want to come back!

I’m writing this from the tube which feels a million miles from the wonderful Devon landscape. Thank you so much for a truly lovely vacation. It’s always a treat hanging out at Swallows Flight and you make us feel so welcome. It was great to also meet your friends and have a few drinks together. We very much hope to be back soon!

Thank you Lucia and Dan for a fabulous stay! This is a most beautiful barn decorated and equipped with the very best of everything! It’s like staying in the most tasteful and cosy boutique hotel that you are able to enjoy all to yourselves! There were chocolate bars on each pillow made in their Salcombe chocolate factory and you must try their amazing Salcombe Dairy ice cream.
We loved our stay at Fledgling barn and will recommend it to anyone we know that’s heading to Devon! Thank you again!

Lucia’s place was amazing and above all expectations. She also provided some great local recommendations and we went on an incredible coastal hike. Thank you for a fantastic stay, we loved it and hope to be back!
